On to an even more promising sequel
Something happens to New York runners at night that can only be explained by
mysterious changes in the cones in the eye. No one can ever find the trail. And
the hares aren't even using colored chalk. Go ask one of our many vision
experts. Statistics: Hare: Roy Cohare: Eva. Start: Astor's Place ostensibly -
Broadway and somewhere north in reality. Finish: The Black Tiger - Corner of
small crowded hot long and loud. We continued to have runners numbering in the
twenties - this time mainly Marathon Scots and Kiwis, plus ,7ahn and Leila now
gone back (all they did here was drink anyway) - I guess British beer is better
in New York than Oslo - it has less far to go. Anyway, the Chicken Eagle trail,
set by Roy was a very good trail, as usual, and well-marked. The real problem is
that the concept of turning cornets at a check has not sunk in. Well now you
know, save yourself a quarter next time. The on-in was also good once we made
sure not to get nutmeg beer, and the service by the co-hare was continual and
excellent - so much so that when we were looking for her to give her her down
down she was nowhere to be found, already ordering pizza. Guy was not emulated
in any way. I think the Norwegians may not be the only ones who are drinking too
seriously.
