WELL, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT - TO GET TREATED LIKE ORPHANS -

This run has a history of discovering funny places, or rather having you look around for a while and discover them yourselves, and of course, always, a new and I might add good, bar. Last year it was alphabet city. This year just when noone would have believed it, especially Marie who was just ahead of me, crossing the Brooklyn Bridge into Monday night territory. But, as I remember, it was a balmy night, no ice or anything, and just right for such a foray.

We started off with what was billed as a very hard check outside World Trade Center No. 5 and those who thought they would follow the arrow inside are still there. But it did, AS USUAL go north in the middle of the block. This took however much a pack of 35 times 30 minutes is with more or less cursing on the side. (After we got stuck by a locked door inside another WTC building). But we were all smart enough to come back out of that one after going up and down some beautiful marooned?) marble ampitheatres.

Thanksgiving is a family reunion, particularly in our case, a dysfunctional family reunion meaning people showed up we haven't seen in about a year such as Barry, and people showed up whom we have never seen such as the Russian with the American accent from Kazakhstan. She can however run, and smoke. The party was good fun, Danny made a great effort to improve his downdowns although Vince was a little shocked I wasn't doing them - I doe t want to get down from a chair and break my leg or anything and in true Thanksgiving/ November fashion we had perfect Marathon food: garlic bread, pasta salad and french fries. Just a tiny little bit late guys. Hope you all got (or didn't) your Turkey elsewhere and that your families were somewhat less dysfunctional than mine - my sister in law's sojourn in the emergency room had me take care of somewhat not too rambunctious boys for a while. That's all you get - time to go to a hash - come back next year.
