I am before the dubious task of writing the last write up of the millenium in the least amount of time. Pre Christmas was not all that frantic, except perhaps that Dave Croft's Seaport Christmas tree got shipwrecked somewhere else and had to be replaced by a chalk one one the ground under which we had instructions to gather. Many folk were sick. Ariane decided to run anyway. Then I read the Economist article stating running reinforced your immune system.

It was, as are downtown runs, particularly those we have already started at within the past two months, a good run. I got lost all the way over the west side just East of the World Trade Centre. But marks were half a block away from the phone box I used. Then I found that no matter how well you know a bar (how many times you have used it) you will never know how to find it when you need it. Ryan's on Gold Street has always been great, if crowded and smokey and with extra-fried food. That's why I brought Christmas chocolates, truffles to be precise and gleaned from the mini- survey executed thereby that hashers really are healthy, at least 1/3 of them are. Ten out of thirty people would not take a truffle. I bet you also know who are the ones who made up for you by having two and then three and disclaiming - "but you are SUPPOSED to eat during the holidays!"

This is a run for which I would like to start the process of VOLUNTEER scribes. Please let Danny know who you are BEFORE the run. ON OUT. New Year's festivities were a success although cool calm and collected. Come next year. I shall return, hopefully before the WWs transform themselves into SSs.
